Hey everyone,

I recently got my hands on a Corsair vengeance i8200 prebuilt gaming PC and thought I’d share my experience and some issues I’ve come across. If you’re considering getting one or just curious, here’s what I’ve found. Spoiler: it’s a mixed crash bag.

Pricey but Polished

First off, let’s talk about the price. Corsair vengeance i8200 is a premium pre-built pc, and their prebuilt systems reflect that. You’re definitely paying a bit more for the convenience and the brand name. It’s nice that it comes ready to go out of the box, but if you’re on a tight budget, building your own might still be the better option.

Component Quality: Mostly Good, Some Meh

Corsair generally uses high-quality parts, but not everything is top-tier. The GPU and CPU are great, but the motherboard and PSU are pretty basic. I got a system with a lower-end motherboard that doesn’t have a lot of features, which was a bit disappointing. It’s not a dealbreaker, but something to keep in mind if you’re picky about components.

What I would add to what said previously, I got tons of blue screens on normal games, like world of Warcraft classic, it’s a 20 years old game that still crashes due too components miss match.

2 days after contacting warranty service, they offer me a refund which is great, because this computer cannot play games, it’s clearly an issue with the config and hardware and software compatibility.

Upgradeability: YMMV

This is a big one for me. Corsair uses some custom cases and layouts which look slick but can limit future upgrades. The case in mine is beautiful but cramped. Installing additional storage was a pain. If you like to tinker and upgrade often, this could be a real drawback.

Bloatware: Ugh

Like many prebuilts, Corsair vengeance i8200 come with some pre-installed software. Some of it is useful, like iCUE for managing RGB lighting, but there’s also a fair amount of bloat. I spent the first hour just uninstalling stuff I didn’t need. It’s not the end of the world, but annoying nonetheless.

Cooling and Noise

Corsair is known for their cooling solutions, but my experience was hit-or-miss. The system could not stays cool enough, the fans can get pretty loud, especially during heavy gaming sessions. It’s not unbearable, but if you’re sensitive to noise, you might want to invest in some quieter fans or tweak the fan curves.

Games like red dead redemption 2, cyberpunk made my room hotter, had to use air conditioning to compensate the heat that was coming from my pc.

Customer Support: Mixed Experiences

I have contacted customer support and had a response, they wanted me to either return the pc to check it thoroughly or asked for pc change. For me it’s a great experiences, while others report long wait times and unhelpful responses. YMMV, but it’s something to be aware of.

Shipping Woes

Mine arrived in good shape, but I’ve read a few horror stories about PCs arriving with loose components or minor damage. Corsair packs them well, but shipping was not a real issue for me came exactly on time. Definitely check everything thoroughly when it arrives. No sign of any damage.

Updates and Maintenance

Another small gripe is the software and BIOS updates. Mine didn’t come with the latest updates installed, so I had to spend some time getting everything up to date. It’s not a huge deal if you’re tech-savvy, but it’s another step before you can start gaming.

Also, the problem of blue screen came from the ram that were equipped on motherboard, my thought is the motherboard could not handle the power of those rams, tried to use only one socket but no success.

Aesthetic Choices

Corsair systems look great, with sleek designs and RGB lighting.

Final Thoughts

So, would I recommend a Corsair vengeance i8200 prebuilt gaming PC? It depends. If you value convenience, have the budget, and like their designs, it’s a solid choice. Just be prepared for some compromises, especially if you’re used to building your own systems. For those who love to tweak and upgrade, building your own might still be the way to go.

Hope this helps anyone considering a Corsair prebuilt. Feel free to ask if you have any questions!

Cheers,
